Luís was born in Viana do Castelo, a small city in the north of Portugal. He is passionate about extreme sports and adventure, which is a result of his family genes and the spirit of the city where he was born. He has always been curious about how everything works, which led him to pursue degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management. Since joining the Argon family, he has had the opportunity to perform different functions, which gave him the experience he needed for his current role. He managed the transition from warehouses to the current location of our headquarters and was one of the responsible for creating the production unit. Today, he is our head of R&D. What really sets him apart is his successful project in creating a new business unit dedicated to producing pre-assembled fiber optic cables. With this project, he consolidated his knowledge and specialized in this area. Being curious, he is constantly looking for innovative solutions that add value. Luis is also a promoter of continuous improvement, frequently analyzing how things can be done better, more effectively and efficiently.
